| Water amidst vines and castles This area is of interest both due to the great variety of natural habitats around the Foix reservoir, which is one of the few humid parts of the Penedčs region, and due to the rich architectural and historic heritage to be found around the castles of Penyafort and Castellet –which was of great strategic importance during the Middle Ages. The castle of Castellet has recently undergone restoration work. |
